Maltese Tiger draws its inspiration from the animal kingdom, providing an abstract representation of the iconic blue tiger which was first spotted in 1924 by China-American missionary, Harry R. Caldwell. Its interchanging gray and white tiles are Zebra like, however it's waved and sinuous patterns within the panels remind one of the mesmerizing, flowing patterns of a tiger’s coat.
