Our Deep Sea plater is made of a mix of translucent dark green & blue glass mixed with opaque glass in the same colors with white accents. The round tray is infused with glittering green and was inspired by the Ocean at night.
This Round Glass tray is made by a process of dripping melted glass over metal rods then boiling the glass to 1700 degrees Fahrenheit and cooling it down to a solid, polished finish. After removed from the kiln the piece is cold worked with diamond disks to give the edges a finished uniform edge and then return to the kiln for a final fire polish. This piece fired for t a total of 30 hours.
